I overlooked this detail and assumed based on your pot title that you were looking for potential programmer hires to use your product. My opinion still stands; farming is a relatively rare occupation in the software industry, marketing or otherwise.
It's one thing to make sure a potential cofound understands your pain point and market, it's another thing to ask the candidate to be part of the market.

This is a very well thought statement. I was just thinking this morning how great is to understand low level logic and coding, but when discussing it with a co-worker, it was clear that there was no practical day to day benefit from knowing about the underpinnings of the higher level languages we use.
That said, I am able to better overcome technical challenges when they arise due to my curiosity and passion for the details.
This is exactly my point. Creativity is not a mindless endeavor in need of automation. It is the heart of human existence, no matter how finite your world view considers it.
The real question that intrigues me is why have a job in the first place? Obviously the current system derived from capitalism requires that we either work or own, but this doesn't make it the right path for mankind.
I agree 100%. The idea of automating creativity is ludicrous. Creativity is what being human is all about and the universe we live in is infinitely vast and full of endless paths to explore.
