I've been brainstorming on having a simple pricing for my product, Draftly. And thought of picking your brain.
What I have:
Draftly is a tool that help users create content for LinkedIn with the help of AI. Because I use AI, I have fixed cost of creating content using the AI model.

There are three plans that I currently offer.
Plan 1 - this is for people who only post on their individual account. We give 20 credits to create 20 posts / month. This is right fir for someone who publishes one post every weekday.
Plan 2 - this is for someone who posts on their individual account as well as business page. We give 50 credits to create 50 posts/month shared between their individual account and the business page.
Plan 3 - this is for someone who manages their client's business pages. Here we give 100 credits to create upto 100 posts/month across all the pages they manage.
---
Problems/Issues raised by customers:
- They run out of credits but dont have business page.
- 100 credits are not enough since they manage 20+ pages
- They want to manage more than 1 page but unable to use 100 credits.
---
What I was thinking:
- Have the first Plan only.
- Charge $x for every page they add. Its a small fee.
- Allow them to top-up the credits whenever they run out of it.
- I'm still brainstorming and need some help/suggestion in coming up with a pricing plan that simple, easy to understand, and win-win for both them and us.
---
Any help is very much appreciated.
You can check out more details about it on draftly . so
We're launching IntroJoy (https://introjoy.com), an easier way to make double opt-in intros.
We decided to build this after learning how there were people out there making hundreds to thousands of intros every year, but without an efficient tool.
IntroJoy is a simple app that uses your Gmail account to minimize the hassle of making double opt-in intros.
It's mobile-friendly, has no dependencies, supports forwardable intros, and open/click tracking.
I guess what he is trying to do is, ask user's OS, Browser, whether Flash or any other plugin is installed or not when you are talking to customer for support. Not to gather stats.
If you are very new to the industry, you might face some difficulty initially since people are not sure if its worth paying you more when there are others who are ready to do same work at cheaper rate.
But if you have good portfolio, audience, contacts, you won't face much problem.
If somebody is cheaper, there's a reason why they are cheaper.
If you are good at what you are doing, people will be happy to pay you what you are worth.
- Unsubscribe from all the feeds except that are very very important for you. So you have at the max 20-25 feeds to read.
- Follow only those people who's tweets are very important. Don't follow people who have a habit of tweeting very 15 mins.
- Deactivate your facebook account.
- Go to any social site only when you are going to bed. Don't spend more than 30 mins there.
I have actually deactivated my facebook account.
There's too much info on the web, there's no point in reading / listening to all that if you can't apply or digest. If something is very important, you will eventually get to know about it from somewhere.
You don't always have to be the first one to know about it.
When tired, don't try to relax by visiting blogs, twitter, facebook, youtube.
Instead go out for 10 - 15 mins and get fresh air, make coffee.
It helps me alot. Might work for you.
I have been thru the same phase your are going thru :)
There are many rape cases in the world. You don't put a person on interpol's list of this. He should be put on trial but putting him Interpol's wanted list. Not fair.
