Big citation needed here. You'd be hard pressed to find any deaths here that weren't obvious, often video-documented cases of self-defense. Even then, the state has zealously prosecuted them, in Jake Gardner's case overriding the local prosecutor's determination that no crime had been committed and leading Gardner to suicide. Most ridiculous of them all, Kyle Rittenhouse is facing murder charges when every single one of his so-called victims is on video assaulting him.

Boeing's expectations for pilots recovering from an MCAS error were criminal. With an erroneous AOE reading, MCAS would immediately and repeatedly force the nose down. Pilots, not even told that MCAS existed, would somehow need to quickly recognize it as a powered flight control problem, cut off power to the stabilizer, and use the manual trim wheel to raise the nose - which can be physically impossible at high speeds in a nose-down attitude.
No rational person would think this system wouldn't kill people. The people responsible committed manslaughter.
+1. Biden and Trump both sounded so much more intelligent in their younger days; I don't understand why we insist on only allowing people to lead our country when they're at their worst.
And despite billing himself as the alternate to the dynastical system, Trump quickly used the presidency as a vehicle for advancing his family's careers. Biden did the exact same thing as vice president - you can tell me what Hunter Biden did was "legal" till the cows come home, he obviously profited immensely from foreign business opportunities that existed solely because his dad was VP.
It's a problem that so-called liberal people love claiming that a scandal has been "debunked" because it was, in fact, legal to engage in extreme corruption. Do we really accept that this system is legitimate, much less superior to those horrible Russians and Chinese? As if they don't call their corruption legal, too?
This isn't to be taken as a show of support at all, but I had similar thoughts when the story of the kidnapping plot against Michigan gov Gretchen Whitmer broke. The militia had been heavily encouraged by multiple undercover FBI agents-provocateur who themselves were integral in engineering the plot - and it's really unclear whether the militia would have even considering doing such a thing without these agents egging them on and offering to provide explosives.
If the British Empire had the technology and infrastructure of today's intelligence agencies, the founding fathers would have been arrested as terrorists before they could get 10 people in a room together. There would have been some undercover agent of the Crown showing up to meetings trying to convince George Washington that they needed to go kill the king - and history would remember them all as nothing more than evil terrorists justly apprehended for plotting violence against the state.
I think the passenger miles statistic is baloney (calculated by multiplying the number of passengers by the number of miles travelled), and I'm a bit sick of seeing it trumpeted everywhere to claim flying is vastly safer than driving. The collective risk of everyone on board the plane is meaningless to calculating risk to your personal safety. At least for me, the fatality rate per journey, per hour of travel, or at the very least per mile I myself am travelling, is far more relevant. According to one source, flying is actually three times deadlier per journey than driving (fun fact, this is the metric aviation industry insurance companies use), but about four times safer per hour travelled. So flying certainly can be safer than driving in the right context, but these crazy "100x safer than driving" stats are kinda useless and take a lot of "creativity" for airlines to arrive at.
