I am holding on to my SE and has been buying phones in the private market to keep a new SE available. I like the form factor size, but would be very keen to get an update processor .
One good option I have executed in the past it to buy a semi-detached home with 3 apt units. It is imp to work out the location, the rent the 3 units can fetch if it is an investment you may likely need 20%-25% down with good credit. This approach requires you/your partner to do a lot of work in searching the house, finding right tenants and finding a right handyman that you like.
Hi, fully understand your desire to move on from a frustrating situation. Good luck, keep at it, man. Based on your post, it seems like you can land the interview, including final in-person ones. I suspect your body language probably communicates that you are too desperate. Hiring managers (consciously and unconsciously) resist hiring folks when they sense desperation. My recommendation to you is getting a coach to provide pointers for in-person interviews.
As a digital marketer who has shared responsibility for PR I find Twitter has helped bring some good PR contacts.
I especially find the list feature of Twitter the most useful way to consume from the fire-hose ! I have multiple personal lists I maintain of influencers (journalists, execs, and developers) in the domain I track - SaaS, SaaS marketing, multiscreen video, and mobile marketing.
LinkedIn has been quite useful to me personally and professionally.
- I was contacted and hired because a recruiter found me thru LinkedIn.
- The best thing I like about linkedin is its search tool. I have also noticed the quality of traffic, both organic and paid, from LinkedIn is of high quality for b2b lead gen purposes.
Hi - Good luck with your business. As a technology marketer & first time visitor (and someone not in your target segment) to your site here are few points of suggestion:
1- Market & Biz Dev:
-You said your target market is education, this is a very broad vertical. I suggest picking a segment from this broad market, for example K-12. You could do one step better by focusing on a sub-segment within this group, for example science teachers/content creators.
2- Look & feel:
- The auto scrolling 1,2,3 steps to getting started is too fast to follow and read. Makes it difficult for users to learn about your service.
- The current page is too busy with too many calls to action (support our campaign, upload, browse, tour, singup, sign-in etc), simplify this for higher conversion.
3- Hollywood or not:
-I think meeting with new folks (Hollywood or not)is always good for business. But don't waste your money flying there - tel calls are cheaper and more effective.
Guys, I like your logo. Very cleverly done. The demo is useful to understand what the solution can deliver.
Viral - In my opinion, a video is truly viral when my mom forwards it to me. That said, you can make a product video viral amongst in target market without it being to my definition. Do you know who is key target? If you do then a contest aimed at that group is likely your best path.
