Let me guess: your company sells native apps and this was the reason you changed the title of the post, right?

Indeed. HTML isn't even mentioned in the post and it also doesn't seem like they are dropping support for forecast.io, just updating the existing native iOS app to be more in line with the HTML based website.

They didn't "drop HTML5 for native". They only had a website and now they've integrated the service into their Dark Sky app.
