This is an interesting question, not because it's from a Mayan calendar (I'm a flying spaghetti follower myself) but because the standard line of "live like today's your last" is a bit tired.
If I had 3 years to live, say from a slow cancer, I'd probably pull a version of a Randy Pausch - work up to a big presentation in front of friends/family and videotape it.
