Just wait: they will quietly add it back within the next two years.
The fact that they even consider it is worrying, I don’t know who they think they are but this kind of behavior is just unacceptable and IMO not inline with the spirit of democracy. I’ll be deleting my account I don’t even use it all that much anyway.
