If you look at the meta.org website, it is a Chan Zuckerberg Initiative property. So they already had it.

Mods, could we remove this? There isn't really any proof this the title is true, and there's actually quite some evidence that it's not.

meta.org was acquired by Chan Zuckerberg Initiative in 2017. For some time, meta.com was forwarding to meta.org.
