I really think Clojure should be recognised as boring tech more than it is. It seems to have drifted out of public discourse in the last couple of years, which is a shame because it's a rock solid, simple, predictable language that would make an excellent choice for many use cases.
It's just a shame that the syntax will forever be a barrier to widespread adoption.
It hasn't fallen. The Clojure community has been growing steadily and continues to grow (it's a great community, I'll add). Things have just settled down since, that's why there are fewer announcement.
As an aside, the 2019 SO survey shows Clojure programmers are the best paid [1].
Most Clojure programmers I know (myself included) would not choose to go back to Java.
I would be very interested to see if providing speaker locale as a feature to a machine learning algorithm would increase its performance for speech recognition.
