Cardboard mulching is a great way to minimize the weeds in your garden! It does break down in a few years, but at least some (or most of it) gets sequestered into the ground.

This has been happening already. At some point, I would get email titled something like "(3)_GIFT.CARD_sent_to_{ [email protected] }" and wonder why the spam filter didn't obviously recognize it as spam. But then it started happening less and less often.
What a coincidence! Last week, I wrote the following:
"Had an idea I’ve been stewing on for a few days now… a decentralized (not tied to any one company) Amazon Prime. As a user, you would pay a yearly fee and get free shipping from all the participating eComs. As a partnering eCom, you get more repeat customers."
I can see this being a product (or a feature) you can offer down the road.
It depends on what you are trying to do. Grow all of your food? Go off-grid? Make it your full-time job (i.e. make money from farming)? The more you answer yes to above questions, the harder it will be. Especially the last one: it's very hard to make tech-levels amount of money farming.
I would advise cutting back and building up slowly. Stay on-grid (if possible), buy as much food from the grocery store as needed, keep your job (if possible). Then, if things get easier, slowly ramp up your self-sufficiency.
I enjoyed the story, but it was a bit underwhelming, to be honest.
I thought that 0HPL would explore the idea that the monsters/demons were in our minds all along, but in the end it turned out to be another story of immoral immortality.
