I sent them a resume almost a year ago, and got nothing back in response until yesterday. Looks like they are going through their backlog right now to find more hands.
Interestingly on of the accounts that the GitHub account who introduced the backdoor follows was suspended very recently [1] who is also part of the org who runs XZ
You cant access these in flight APIs in exactly the same way as you can while on the plane, but the same information can be found for almost all flight in the air that use ADS-B, and there are many services that offer this as an API[1]
