Sure, long term that would probably drive or lock a lot of customers to them and make them not bother about ChatGPT anymore. However, Amazon might have a lot of compute, but I'm not sure if it's enough to enable every Alexa speaker with state of the art conversational AI. OpenAI and Google constantly have to screw with the rate limits to satisfy demand.
Check out Volkswagen that have been built between 2019 and 2021 (MY for Canada, US and EU might be a bit different). They usually come with Android Auto already (worth it for traffic and music - you can use OsmAnd or alternatives as well if you want zero tracking), BUT all the climate and radio and steering wheel controls are still physical buttons. And at least for Canada there are is no cellphone module in the car. There actually was for US market, but apparently since it supports max. 3G and the network has been shut down US wide end of 2022 they are truly offline as well now.
Probably not, but with a 25 hour recording window one could make sure that the previous crews did not notice any irregularities (that they might not have reported) or anything else that might have lead up to this incident. That's pretty mind boggling that a modern age voice recorder doesn't even support storing the timespan of an intercontinental flight.

I just wonder why they're so obsessed to make heated seats an optional feature to charge for... it comes standard these days on so many other cars in lowest trim, including Volkswagen (which is considered less premium in Munich). If they see scaling benefits by equipping every car with heated seats just do it and price it in the base offer. The backlash from this probably cost them more than they can ever raise through a seat subscription.
In North America (at least Canada, I assume US too?) school year starts next week after Labor Day. While I know staggered school returns from some parts of Europe and some might be back in session already, universities often don't start lectures until October.

I worked for a cat shelter in Malaysia, besides local donations they got the majority of their funding through GoFundMe, paired with updates and campaigning on Facebook etc. Personal contacts and trust played a big role in this, the manager was an American expat and hosted a bunch of volunteers every month (that's how I got in there) to gain some exposure.
Discord is just a rich IRC replacement. You can log and search in IRC too but nobody seriously tries to archive information for research later. And big difference is it's all closed and operated by one entity that can change conditions at will. Don't even try to use it for anything else than real time chat.
It might get reopened at some point, probably under some arbitrary rule that demotes the current mods and choses a new team, but reddit corporate itself won't moderate any subs too soon because that would expose them to a whole new set of regulations and liability. They are currently just providing the technical platform and not being responsible for content.
