IMO the image quality on GoPro is still the best. I don't understand why people say it's horrible. For flat video it outperforms Insta360 and definitely DJI.
Society has found out money is a good way to encourage/discourage certain behavior in a predictable, deterministic, and quantifiable way. It really sucks that it has to be money, and maybe this can be solved with some other universal token that cannot be bought with wealth but equitably distributed some other way.
For example the dynamic fees in express lanes in California aren't really for the purposes of paying for the roads. They dynamically adjust it such that the traffic in the lane is operating at peak efficiency. Too few people using it obviously reduces throughput, so the price cheapens to have people using it, and too many people using it causes a collapse in efficiency so the price increases. Having some kind of adjustable cost on it lets the control system appropriately change the demand to keep it efficient.
Valve wasn't always like this. They were infamous for never allowing refunds, but due to EU regulations they just did a complete about face and has one of the friendliest refund policies in the ESD business. Probably just behind Costco or something.
Wow, they used to be allowed back when I was in high school. It came in super clutch for SAT but much more importantly AP. Our school mandated the original CS CAS and drilled us on how to use it effectively and I got good mileage out of it through high school testing and college.
I lost it at some point and got the version 2 and I would occasionally use it for work. I wish it had USB-C because who has a mini-B cable for charging these days
Yeah, this is normal. When the battery suddenly disconnects (for example of the lugs pop off) the alternator's momentum will send a massive, long-standing transient on the bus up to 100V. This is called a load dump.
Isn't Tg a poorly defined metric? It seems like thermoplastics will lose their strength as temperature goes up and there's no abrupt transition where there's a near step-change in behavior
Also it's insane that they used a bolted joint with plastics on a critical place, the plastic will creep under the clamp load and will lose clamp force.
I used cashapp's free tax software and it was pretty good. Similar quality to TurboTax but free. I had regular W-2 income, a whole lot of 1040 forms, and an S-1 form from some ETFs.
Well for cars, you do need to be on the active lookout for pedestrians, other cars, etc, but for planes generally you are mostly looking at instruments. You only really look outside if you expect something is coming, and the HUD isn't really a distraction there.
My interpretation of entropy is that if you have X states that are equally probable, but not all states are distinct from each other in some sense, then the next state will likely be one where the states satisfying that condition is most numerous.
For example, if you flip N coins, there are 2^N states available once the flip is done. Each outcome has an 1/2^N probability of outcome. There's only one state where all of the states show all heads. While there's only one state where coins numbers 1-N/2 are heads, and N/2-N are tails, so that particular outcome is 1/2^N, if all we care is the macroscopic behavior of "how many heads did we get"--we'll see that we got "roughly" N/2 heads especially as N gets larger.
Entropy is simply saying there's a tendency towards these macroscopically likely groups of states.
