Silo is a new up and coming competitor, also completely open source and written in go, and has full Postgres support from the get-go, along with proper architecture decisions to allow transcoding across multiple hosts.
The vision of Silo appears to be much more clear, and has quite a few great devs behind it. It also has features to run side by side and has full JF api support. I have no involvement in the project, just excited for a new player in the space.
To me, the OP’s reply reeks LLM, along with many others from them in this thread.
I would hope that their replies are from an actual person, knowing they’re interacting with people in a similar field as themselves, and asking for criticism from real people in the top comment.
Yeah they usually do have a dedicated sleeping space for their service. The thing is, they only sleep if there’s enough downtime. Depending on your service, size of the program, and of course who your patient population is, it could be a lot, or none at all.
Current ACGME rules allow a max of 30 consecutive hours, so not as bad but still not great for someone you would hope to have fine motor skills to save a life!
I tested this feature maybe 6 months ago. Have they copied the behavior of Chrome, where when you have multiple profiles open at once, it will open a link (say from Slack) in the most recently focused profile and window?
Last I checked, it didn’t, and it was quite annoying, coming from Chrome.
I’ve tried to find a way to reduce or eliminate those workspace switching animations and have not found a solution. I will say that using a hotkey to access it makes it go the fastest compared to swiping, but that’s about it. There are more extreme solutions like Flashspace but it’s not the greatest.
I think it’s a lot likelier that some other company which has both your phone and email was breached, and conveniently the domain in your email tells them who you use as your email provider, which they can then pose as.
Marketing is not really the important bit at the moment when they’re working on building things from the ground up.
I was just mentioning it because it’s a new contender to the space, changing the status quo. Always a good thing in the OSS world.
