It wasn't killed off. Support was removed from Chrome, for what appears to be rather spurious reasons, but practically everyone else are busy implementing it.
While certainly an impressive effort, it's not even close to competitive yet. As is pointed out in a comment on [1] and as can be seen from the rat piss yellow in the sky, the algorithms are very much on the naive/simple side of things.
I'd be surprised if they have to go through the same review process as everyone else. And even if they do, the reviewers are likely to give them a pass because it's Google.
While I can sleep on my back, I feel like I get better rest when on my side. It's not about how the pillow feels or anything like that, but my whole body and brain just seem to relax more.
Apparently [1] sleeping on the side is better for your health, as well.
That's not how I read it or what their example says. As I understand it, if you create a bucket and then delete it again within the hour, you only pay for one hour. I think the 5€/month is if you have active buckets the whole month, since it's less than if you actually had to pay for all the hours.
And for how long has it had this "broken" behaviour for? When Microsoft introduced a similar path bar in Explorer (in Vista or 7, don't remember), it had the double functionality right from the beginning. The fact that Gnome Files didn't is frankly baffling.
Something I've been wondering about with the Ultra HDR format, is why did you add the Google GContainer? As far as I can tell, it doesn't do anything that the MPF part doesn't already.
