I was one of the backers who got his money back because they “discovered” very late in the process that selling to Mexico was not worth it. I only got a small discount If I wanted to get a regular order in the US.
Bit disappointed and had to handle the expectations of my kid, that was super excited about this for Christmas. It seems TMEC/NAFTA is worthless if even small entrepreneurs discover is very difficult to sell across Mexico and Canada. But decidedly they see less value in selling to Mexico to pass similar (in theory) regulatory hurdles to Canada. The same story with Kiwico, Lovevery, etc.
Even considered building something like this, but I don’t have time.
Honestly, I feel like people just underestimate the market size because of the language barriers.

Funny thing the english wikipedia article does not even mention it. But yeah, Each of those Cloud providers, have at least 3 buildings distributed on multiple industrial parks in the metropolitan area and I'm not even mentioning the ones from Kio Networks, IBM (SoftLayer). We are one step away from having one from OVH and Hetzner.
The only data center I know that is in the middle of the city of Queretaro is the one from Triara (aka Telmex, one of the many companies from Carlos Slim). Most of them are in the outskirts of the urban area.

I would think they only need cheap electricity, connectivity and in the case of Mexico, far away from seismic activity.
I would imagine you are talking about Queretaro. Google and Microsoft also have data centers there.
This is a thing that has been more than a decade in the making, mostly because Queretaro does not have seismic activity and is only a couple of hours north of Mexico City.
While the water sources are completely different, both regions are prone to intense water seasons and, in the last couple of years, intense droughts.
More specifically, Queretaro is a semi-desert, so this behavior is a bit more expected.
Aside: Coming from personal experience I don't think that current agricultural methods are the best and are pron to wasting water, at least what I remember from Queretaro

Currently it runs my home assistant installation at home, so, a bit more processing would help, but it is not a critical load that requires speed most of the time. The most annoying task is compiling ESPHome firmwares from the raspaberry, which could take several minutes.
I've been waiting for this, now, the question is, is this a drop-in replacement for the CM4? If so, these will sell really well (and will have shortages)
I speak Spanish and English, but then I moved on to Japanese and now find myself stuck. I'm not confident in any scenario involving Japanese. Perhaps I should explore other languages (likely French, Portuguese, or another Romance language), then revisit Japanese. From there, I might transition to Mandarin and Korean.
Either the path I chose is too complex, or age is beginning to impact my cognitive speed.
Has anyone feeling this? or maybe I overestimated the time I should have been investing into this?
