Anthropic saying they want "stronger" requirements is easy when you're helping write them. The tell is that they're endorsing a bill that just happens to match what they're already doing - classic regulatory capture where industry turns their business model into law and calls it "safety."
I'm one of the regular code reviewers for Burn (a deep learning framework in Rust). I recently had to close a PR because the submitter's bug fix was clearly written entirely by an AI agent. The "fix" simply muted an error instead of addressing the root cause. This is exactly what AI tends to do when it can't identify the actual problem. The code was unnecessarily verbose and even included tests for muting the error. Based on the person's profile, I suspect their motivation was just to get a commit on their record. This is becoming a troubling trend with AI tools.
Does anyone know a tool that would generate links automatically for types (etc) to Docs.rs. We have a library (Burn) and accompanying book where were references types in many places.
I often forward this article to my fresh software engineers but they often get put off by the layout. So I tell them beforehand not to pay too much attention to it =)
Can someone recommend an app for ipad that can read PDFs? I want to be able to bookmark using my browser but read it on my ipad. Sort of like "Save to pocket" extension.
