The tech industry is still hiring, it's just FAANG that are contracting because they were the ones who had the money to massively overhire during the pandemic. Everyone else is still trying to get good hires. So, get a job that helps you and then start looking for the next job once you are building your basic skills.
I would try them. They probably have side effects, they did for me. But the side effects are definitely not worse than that pit in the stomach. At least for me. Exercise has also been effective at ameliorating some of my anxiety/depression.
I write Elixir (which uses this syntax) and Rust (which doesn't) and I think both are fine. I'm hoping Rust doesn't support this mostly because I don't think the language support this sugar solves any problems Rust has.
I think e-bikes will be very successful, but you have to get the product into the people's hands. It's hard to know what an e-bike is like until you try it. They are so fun, and getting fresh air will almost certainly make you more happy.

I think you're both partially right. Profit motive is what drives people, but profit margins will be shrunk so in an established mining ecosystem like bitcoin you probably aren't going to make any profit (after accounting for opportunity costs).
Would it ever be possible to program an fpga to run your HTTP server? So you'd have hardware that was specially designed for your program. Deploying code would just be about reprogramming the FPGA.

There is one guy building vim-mode-plus on atom and it feels way better than the vim plugin of vs code. Also, atom has seen pretty solid performance improvements recently. It now doesn't have much lag for me when I'm working with Elixir.
