They make more off you if you have a regular licence and they can sell your data. You wanting to pay extra not to be spied upon is irrelevant, you have no choice in the matter.

In fact, death is an intended game mechanic of Soulsborne games. The highs of overcoming a challenging foe is much greater if victory isn't handed to you on a platter. And the game philosophy of the Dark Souls series has always been one of the protagonist being little more than just a mindless undead, unfit to live, let alone wear a crown.
The difference is whether you see death as a set back and learning experience, or just a complete failure that frustrates you. It's a matter of mindset.
But in general the difficulty of Soulsborne games is overstated. They're mechanically simple, combat is fair (RNG isn't a big factor), with plenty of opportunities to make the game easier. Just level up more. Now with Elden Ring you can choose to go elsewhere, and come back later, stronger. This game isn't about easy victory, so easy mode has no place existing. A piece of media doesn't have to cater to all audiences.
I disagree. There is bound to be more than a non-tech person that notices that Google has gone downhill, and is confused because it _feels_ like they were getting better results 10 years ago, but has no way and knowledge to confirm that. Regular people were using Google during its golden age in the 2000s already.

At the time you would get tons of results from a myriad of small blogs, forums, niche websites. Nowadays it's Pinterest, blogspam and more SEO optimised algorithmic crap. If you're lucky you get a forum result that might actually be relevant.

Intel has been sitting twiddling its thumbs for years, so it was easy for Apple to actually innovate and create an incredible processor, also controlling the entire stack and being able to switch from x86 helps.
But on the GPU side NVIDIA and AMD have been battling it out for a while, competition is tight, and thinking Apple could come, compete and actually beat the fastest GPU currently available for consumers is a bit of a pipe dream, in hindsight. The GPU market hasn't been sitting on laurels for as long as Intel has been. That said, I am still positively surprised at how close they managed to reach the 3090, but alas, no cigar.
I don't think operations/logistics is a creative type role. It's striking deals with manufacturing companies and optimising costs (of course very simplified for a company the size of Apple). To me that sounds like sales.
I disagree. Some went to America because of the ideals, but others went there because they had no choice (exile), or they wanted to start anew because of shady past or just because. The land of the free is a nickname that has been slapped on the USA after the fact.
Who says immigrants with a different skin colour don't move to Europe because of the ideals? That is bollocks and borderline discriminates other cultures with the assumption that they do not care about becoming European. The incorrect assumption being that it's never been the people that convert to a culture, but instead the culture evolves over time to accommodate the change in demographics. Racial and cultural purity is an ideal that never really existed. It's easy to imagine the citizens of Rome complaining about the Celts and, yikes, the Barbarians ruining the pure Roman blood two thousand years ago.
The future of Europe, and the rest of the world, culturally and genetically, is a melting pot of people from all over the world. To me it is an absolute win, especially since history proved time and time again that the more people with different experiences and lives come together, the more society advances.
Disclaimer: I am definitely biased as a European-born mixed race citizen. The more you mix the cultures, the more arbitrary those borders and ideals seem.
