I'm of the opinion that we should instead work on destigmatizing people with mental disorders. I find it descriptive and don't buy into this superpower BS
That and the fact that they do family preboarding which really makes everyone happier (no screaming crazy kids in the lobby) and probably increases boarding throughput (no backup while moms wrestle carseats into window seats)
When it's developed entirely in the open I'm not sure I see the concern here. If you have reason to believe they are somehow compromised or backdooring Tor please do share it, otherwise this is just FUD.
So C/C++ are also inherently broken because game engines break out to raw ASM at their mist critical points? Or Java because it exposes native code via JNI?
This is actually totally standard behavior in pretty much every language.
This is true, mostly because only one company in this space lumps all their phones under one name even when they are on different carriers with different radios and firmwares... until the GSIII that is.
Keep telling yourself that. Yes, the industry plays number games, but when the multiple different indicators from many different analysts and direct numbers from retailers and actual usage numbers all point in the same direction, you can go ahead and call the trend.
I've been watching this one Because my wife does a lot of illustration so the pen stuff might outweigh the other issues with it. I just don't see anything else on the horizon. Win8 seems DOA to me. Considering the reviews though I think we'll wait a few months and pickup one when they are dumping stock for cheap
So my message to Samsung is: If you can't do this correctly, stop skinning Android. You've been trying and failing for so many years and nothing good has come of it, so just stop. Even when you have a good idea, like split screen and floating apps, you don't control the right parts of Android to make it work. So just accept it and leave the OS development to the professionals. You can't add any worthwhile functionality at the layer you normally change, and you have no taste for design. Stock Android is so good now, messing with it is like getting a fully-cooked meal from a famous, 5 star chef, and then smothering it with ketchup. So stop.
Apple built a product that was innovative but clearly derivative of what Motorola had been selling for decades, why shouldn't Motorola defend itself in the market it created?

Most people point at the physical design of Samsung phones to make this point, but in all seriousness Samsung just plain didn't copy the iPhones design. Take a look at these two products Samsung made, both of which predate the iPhone and both of which show the exact design language that Samsung has used on the Galaxy * products:
Not somewhat similar to the design language, exactly the same. From the rounded corners, to the bezel, to the single button on the bottom of the device. This was Samsung's design language before the iPhone ever existed.
If we reformed the system to force the patent holder to actually market a real product using the patent in order to be able to sue to defend the patent, making them more similar to trademarks, this would solve the pure patent troll problem. Unfortunately it wouldn't stop the mobile patent wars.
