I'm a programmer - and what I do is the best job ever and that means everyone should be a programmer.
Seriously - people should stop showing programming down other peoples throats. If you like it - fine, but other people might have other priorities, like becoming a doctor or a lawyer or a civil engineer or what have u. Programming is not for everyone.
I immeditely giving this a fail for not namespacing|prefixing css classes.
I mean "error" class, "warning" class - FTFY seriously guys?
Yeah - noone else gonna have a splendid idea for using those exact names anywhere ever.
I'm a foreigner who worked in a summer camp in US. We've been told that this is a "culture exchange" program, as in we work some time and then we "exchange cultures".
In reality we've been working in the kitchen 6am-9pm 7 days a week (no days off).
We didn't get paid anything - as legally we were "exchange students".
All we got was "pocket money" ~600$ for entire summer.
If something didn't get served right - cooks would blame us, and we wouldn't even be able to fight back as our English was not good enough (besides - we had this weird notion of "morality" almost unheard of in US).
There were no cultural programs either and everyone treated as as if were slaves (which we were essentially).
We couldn't get away either - as we were in a foreign country and to get anywhere would require 30 min. drive.
My point is -there is a lot of hypocrisy towards that Indian woman who only does what thousands of American businesses do every year.
She came forward. She came to police and honestly tried to fix it and guess what she got for that - a royally fucked life. I betcha there will not be any more volunteers like that.
and if that's the case - that's exactly what you say instead of - "these are bad devs and we don't need them".
Hey person with family and kids - screw you - good luck finding a job after Yahoo CEO declared you an unworthy asset.
Journalist Michael Hastings dead after telling his friends that he has a big story on CIA director and he needs to lay low for a while as FBI is "onto him".
How about that western word?
None of those "putin journo killings" has never been proven to have any links to Putin. All these anti-Russian accusations are moral equivalents of people claiming that US government killed Michael Hastings.
