I attempted to mimic Go's single flight package myself [0]. It doesn't have support for the asynchronous world but I suppose that could be made possible. I also have to mention bradfitz for providing the initial implementation (I think?) to learn from. It's really quite elegant!
Does anyone else think the Rust HTTP ecosystem is becoming increasingly fragmented? I can't keep track of which library is best suited for common operations. Is it a web framework built on hyper? Should I pay attention to tower middleware? Where does tracing fit in?
Thanks for submitting a patch! I have been throwing around the idea of using the "bundled" feature flag listed here: https://github.com/rusqlite/rusqlite#optional-features. I was hesitant to initially because it would force users to have a specific version of SQLite.
Thanks for the feedback. I wanted to capture the same idea as the original tool I listed in the README. In the future I hope to add functionality to tail a log file in real time and do live updates of the stats. This is where the idea of top comes from.
For me, Bandcamp has been the best site that holds true to this idea. My favorite band started releasing all of their music through Bandcamp because the pricing is fair for artists. And as a listener, I can download the music to my machine or stream it from the app after I have purchased it.
