I built a Crypto prices chrome extension that shows the top 10 Crypto coins and their prices. All right under my browser, so I don’t have to go to any other website. It’s so helpful, and I love it. I use it every day.
It isn’t very clear. The author says you have to create flexible products (using configuration) but down the line, be more opinionated (using convention). He lost me.
I have been reading a book just 5 pages (some days more) and writing for 136 days without a break. I am super enjoying my journey. Check out https://5pagesaday.com/
It's not a plug to hop you to my site. I sincerely appreciate your feedback. I see a lot of benefits, like I improved my ability to express my views concisely. I am now a lot better at summarising things and packing so much of value in short sentences. I would highly recommend building a habit, like reading and writing.
My site https://5pagesaday.com/ is showing Cookie “_ga” has “sameSite” policy set to “lax” because it is missing a “sameSite” attribute, and “sameSite=lax” is the default value for this attribute.
I made a course on a small topic which is keyword research/SEO related and hosted on Udemy. It took me a week to create the whole thing since then I haven't done anything except answering a few questions of the students.
It's 99% passive. I am making around $150 per month.
This is the simple method I followed (CPSO)
Customer => Problem => Solution => Offer
1.) find a topic with enough interest (customer finding activity)
2.) identify a single problem in that topic (Problem finding activity)
3.) provide a clear cut solution to the problem
Make sure they get a result by the end of it. Record your screen showing the solution without any fluff. (Solution providing activity)
4) Create a compelling offer and present to the customer (Make a compelling offer activity)
For the last part (offer), I created a video which is almost 45 minutes long and taught nearly 90% of the course. There's no need to buy if you watch the intro video which is free to preview on the course.
It's doing well.
Watch the preview video, and you are good to go—no need to buy it. But if you want to support an honest creator, then please consider purchasing the course using the following link. Many thanks.
Late to the party but never mind. I always wanted to read and write more, but creating such high-value habits are very hard to come by. In this lockdown, I decided to do something about that.
I read five pages from a book that interests me every day and then write about my interpretation.
To build a good reading and writing habit, I built a static blog using JAMStack technologies.
I used Hugo to make a static site and Netlify functions to call Google Book API, Forestry dot io to write my book blurbs every day. I integrated Amazon ads to implement related book recommendations. I use netlify to host and Github actions for CI/CD. It's a PWA out of the box and supports Google AMP.
The cool part is when writing a book experience, I provide the book ISBN, and my netlify function would go and grab book cover gif, description, author name from Google Book API automatically :-)
I am really pleased. I will start reading and writing from the coming Monday.
Wish me luck and follow me to encourage. I will open-source my Hugo theme which I named ”Morning Pages” and my blog on Github later this week. Cheers
Frustrated with Manchester United performance, I developed an app in a weekend and hosted on Digital Ocean. https://keeporsell.club We used the latest JavaScript stack reactjs and reduxjs and redux-persist to build the app. If you want to learn the ropes like how we did the whole app in a weekend from scratch, then go and subscribe using the form at the top of the site. Please visit the website and let us know your opinion. I value your feedback.
It's a combination of several things like 'fear of failure', 'fear of success' and procrastination.
1. Just build something very very tiny thing and sell it for less than 5 quid something like $1.99.
2. Repeat until you see some success and get motivation.
3. While doing this just be in the same tribe who's making things like you. Talk to them and share your experiences with them. Grow with them, together.
4. The momentum automatically move you to the next level.
5. Finally find a mentor who's been in this journey before and embrace his/her advise.
Let me know where can I buy your first tiny product and I will buy no matter what it is.
what a coincidence? I got my 5-minute journal from Amazon yesterday evening and started using it straight. I did yesterday evening and today morning. I am not sure how it works but I was tracking my sleep before and will do after. I bookmarked this thread and will come back and let you know my thoughts.
