For some reason I feel that a thorough understanding of most of these papers(except perhaps Lamports Algorithms) is beyond my current intellectual capabilities.But nevertheless I will try.
TIP: Sites like github are your friends...Not only can you establish when you had the idea (Yes that means writing that README file) but also how you progressed and finished the execution of the idea in very fine detail.
Yes...the date on the commits can be forged but not the github server logs...on this note..github needs to provide support for certified commits.
Lastly,I am fairly certain that a patent troll is not going to commit and push to github...the amount of evidence he has will be probably be insignificant when compared to your commit data.

Hey I just got the book late victorian holocausts by Mike Davis from amazon...have only read the preface in the last hour and I think its a really good read ....just wanted to thank you for the suggestion and some other very good points throughout this thread!!...will read RC Dutt's book next but I think I wont be able to take him that seriously as he is Indian and will probably have an Indian bias.

That pain is indeed real and I have felt it on numerous occasions.
i agree tht it is not a zero sum game...the world economy is larger than it was 30 years ago....and yes you will be able to trade more since there will be more consumers....but standards of living and of most economies will definitely decline...the stuff that you bought from china for really cheap wont be so cheap anymore....which means tht the average westerner will be no better than the average asian in terms of healthcare,education,food cars etc....(the average asian right now lives on less than $1 a day)...so far so good...we are all happy rite...wrong!!....the asian countries still have a huge advantage in such a scenario...population!!...when everyone has the same standard of living ...it is population which will decide who has more power!!
haha ....I got a little too emotional over there(edited) that part...but dont tell me you dont know about the gradual shift of power and revenue from the western to the asian markets....watch the documentary two million minutes.

haha I tried that yesterday....my boss asked me to come up with documentation for some objective C code....in three days I not only documented two classes but also used a tool called appledoc for autogenerating documentation for all the classes....in fact I wrote a script that I added as an xcode target that when run not only autogenerates documentation but also uploads it on a central server.
RESULT...I got severly REBUKED for not creating a word document and emailing it to him...in fact he threatened me about escalating my disobedience to senior management
