My understanding of Thinkpads is the big keyboard change happened with the upgrade from the X220/T420 to the X230/T430. I picked up a used X220 back in 2014 for school and it's still kicking today. I usually end up reinstalling some flavour of lightweight linux on it whenever it dig it out of storage again, and it's a joy to use.
I'm very much a hobbyist gamedev, mostly doing small personal projects or game jams when I have the time.
I switched from Unity to Godot in 2016 when 2.0 came out and I haven't looked back since. I find Godot fits so nicely with how I like to make things compared to Unity or Unreal. It has that comfy feeling like Aesprite, sxfr, and bosca ceoil where the tool itself has an artistic expression.
I agree with most downsides that people have in regards to Godot, lacking asset store, lacking in the amount of tutorials compared to other engine, lacking in completed titles at scale, etc.
However for my purposes I've never found these to be a deal breaker, and if anything I prefer being part of the smaller community that Godot has - it feels more grassroots and aligned with my personal values.
I remember having a subscription to xfire back in 2012, apparently the same year that OBS 1.0 was released.
Having such a high quality piece of open source software as the defacto standard for video recording/streaming is quite nice alongside Audacity for audio recording.
There must be something going on with the tunnels in Brisbane in google maps. I recently looked up directions to a restaurant in the valley and they were leading me to the clem 7 directly beneath it.
The variant of this game I have always played allows for playing multiple cards on your turn as part of a set, so 3 queens for example.
We also played with the general rule that you can do anything outside the rules and as long as you can get through your turn without anyone calling you out in it you're in the clear. Playing more cards than you call is a pretty common cheat and it's always pure chaos when it happens and gets called out.
It can be a real friendship stressor so you have to have the right group of players for it, but it's always fun sharing the stupid cheats that people pulled off afterwards.
I recently started getting into photography as a hobby. I found that once I got used to carrying a camera around with me I no longer felt the need to have a phone with "an amazing camera" and was able to downgrade. This helped a lot in decreasing screentime on my phone when I was out of the house.
