I mean, the cards are selling at 3-4x MSRP right now. Won’t halving the hash rate just cause the price of the cards to drop to 1.5-2x MSRP and miners just buy twice as many?
Possibly good for NVDIA I guess (selling twice the units assuming the can make enough), but I don’t see this helping gamers get cards in hands.
PlanGrid co-founder here. It's definitely useful for a project of any size, but the value definitely scales non-linearly with the size of a project.
If nothing else, if you have a construction project that has paper plans, PlanGrid is the best way to make them digital, shareable, usable by multiple people.
They actually have been trying to move the government functions to Sejong City(which is 120km south of Seoul), but the courts stopped it from happening:
I don't follow Korean politics, so I don't know if the motivations were to escape NK artillery or some other reason, but it seems like organizing a massive move is just one of those things democracy is bad at.

Here's some quick feedback I've got:
-It's a little hard to tell where on the screen I can touch to move the miner vs. where I can shoot. Perhaps but a line on the bottom demarcating where touches will move instead of shoot?
-Perhaps the game would be more fun if the movement was faster? If you sped it up, it would make it easier to grab 2 pieces of cheese on the same row. It's up to you to decide how to balance control responsiveness vs. difficulty, but it's worth testing it out.
Great acquisition for Facebook. People are wondering what kind of monetization strategies Facebook will use to make them worth their post-IPO valuation, and Karma is now one good example.
All of us at PlanGrid agree that the in-field use of 3D bim models is still a ways away, which is why our solution is focused on 2d drawings.
Basically, what we are trying to do to paper plans what HTML did to paper documents: Make them digital, make them linkable, make the centrally updatable. This should have been done years ago, but just like HTML had to wait for the personal computer, PlanGrid had to wait for the tablet.
