Definitely - when you consider how varied inference workloads will be, and the different ways to minimize costs - better prompting, SLMs, different chips, batching, etc, there will be tons of opportunity
Most people don't have the team and time to do heavy token efficiency engineering. But that's all we do. marketplace.neurometric.ai has a bunch of task specific small models, and we charge flat monthly fees. We bear the token risk.
While I'm generally a blockchain skeptic, this is actually a good use for a blockchain - to "register" bots so they have an id, and an owner, and you can measure their behavior. There are going to be more bots interacting with more sites, so, this could work.

Any thoughts about making this an open platform where people own their own data but apps are built on top of it? And users can design their own UIs too? I'd be an early paying customer of that API.
We must have had very different experiences. Our customers who use the product as it was designed, rather than like a saas product, see great results and rave about the AI success.
My last company was a Saas company, and buyers wanted to discuss maintenance contracts like they would for packaged software. They dont matter for Saas. Buyers disnt always understand that and it took time to change their buying habits. It was goid in those days to challenge customers on that.
In parallel though, many entrepreneurs are staying on the sidelines because of fear of the regulatory bodies. I think the SEC should adopt something the like the proposed Arizona crypto laws.
Is there a use here for blockchains? Could you link block to block with a CA function or would that be weaker than the current approach that bitcoin uses?
Isn't it amazing that every day, Apple offers new options, diluting everyone else who owns stock? Crazy anyone would work there, or want any Apple stock given that fact.
