What frustrates me most is that USA can organize coup d'etat in Latin America and other countries, whereas it is much more likely it won't be reciprocated.
The world is more complex than that.
China is not "bad" because it is not a democracy. China is "bad" because it competes with the USA.
There are other countries that are not a democracy an that are allies with the USA, like Saudi Arabia. But they are "good", apparently.
And also, just remember that the USA only supports the democracies that are aligned with the way of thinking. Just do a bit of research and see what happened to South America in the 70s' and 80's... and more recently to Bolivia.
Also, most of the products that you use today were built, at least in part, in China.

First of all: You are not wrong.
But similar things can be said about USA. USA steals a lot of stuff too. But of course the American press won't tell you about that. Or if they mention it, they will put phrase it like "America liberated the population of Irak (insert any country here) from the dictarship".
But the press on other countries could say different things about the USA:
"Not only is USA has a long history of creating coup-d'etat in foreign countries (e.g: South America), and installing governments that favor their policy and killing thousands of innocent people to achieve that. But also is known to create false evidence to invade countries to steal their oil and killing thousands of innocent people, again. And recently it has been proved that the USA spied on their allies to..."
I don't want to put in a way that the USA is "bad" or China "good", or vice-versa.
But the important thing here is: critical thinking. Don't buy what the press tells you.
Is China "bad" ? Who is telling you that China is "bad" ? Does the person that is telling you that China is "bad" gain something from it? Is that person any better than China?
Companies are driven to make money. Otherwise they would be an NGO, and not a company.
Perhaps what Apple wants is to keep improving their iPhone / iPads with better ARM processors (from where the make most of the money).
Just remember that they don't use the regular "off-the-shelf" ARM processor.
By having even better ARM processors, they can keep having and edge over the competition.
One day, they might switch Mac to ARM. But I don't see that in the short term.

But the I wouldn't call it "deep dive". In any case, it is just a quick overview.
by "deep dive" I would expect in detail infecting techniques (.com is mentioned, but MBR is missing), stealth techniques (how virus by passed debuggers and anti-virus), techniques used by antivirus (besides basic pattern matching).
I think this is useful when you need simple dialogs. For example if you want to display a license agreement, or similar. It is overkill to bundle Qt libs to display simple dialogs.
But if you want a complex and powerful UI toolkit (let's say you want to create an editor), you need a toolkit like Qt.
You can't do that with just wrappers to native toolkits. You will only get the greatest common divisor.
What Apple is doing is protecting its business model. It is a good thing what Apple is doing, but they are doing it only because it is aligned with its business model.
Apple is a for-profit organization. Same as Google. Same as Facebook.

makes sense for me. I don't use iCloud because of that. It doesn't have the features that I need. Although "Better" is subjective. Dropbox might not be better for you, but it "makes sense" for some people
