As I suspected, poisoning most likely includes drug overdose. They have this comment about the 2023 data:

You can see more recent data than 2004 in their interactive charts. It is interesting to see that deaths from road accidents has much reduced for teenagers and young adults, compared to the rest of the population.
What a nice surprise to see this on the HN front page! I was involved with DSLinux for several years. I maintained nightly-ish builds that I hosted on my website. I don't think I ever contributed any code, as my C and system programming skills were still rudimentary at the time, but I did a fair amount of testing and helping people in the community.

The government didn't want to allow pardon to the dead because they said that in some cases they couldn't know that these homosexual acts were consensual and not under age. The Lord presenting the bill is advocating for rehabilitation of the dead if there is enough evidence available, and he hopes the Turing bill (which will pardon only Alan Turing) is a first step towards allowing pardon for the 59,000 convicted who are now dead.
It's definitively not as simple as your example. Both Amazon and Google have staff and infrastructure in UK and other European countries. Yet they channel all their profit to lower tax countries (Luxembourg for Amazon and Ireland for Google).
In the case of Amazon, when some sales staff is in the UK (evidence coming from whistleblowers, for instance http://www.guardian.co.uk/technology/2013/may/16/amazon-whis...), when warehouses are in the UK, and Luxembourg seems to be used only for signing the official contract, how is that not tax avoidance?
