I've had a similar experience, shipping new features at incredible speed, then waste a ton of time going down the wrong track trying to debug something because the LLM gave me a confidently wrong solution.

Are UCNP heterostructures also the most promising area of application, or are you looking to apply the method in other areas now that you've validated it in the stringent case?
Stall for time: repeat what the other person said back to them, reframe the questions, state the obvious, use filler words, etc. Say stuff mindless enough that you can think about the real problem while talking.
Do you really think the proportion of people who care about those issues is greater inside these companies, compared with the general population? Or is the proportion of people roughly the same, but they only speak up about it because those are the issues the company is involved with?
Yeah the soul question seemed unfair, in the sense that I answered the first two with the assumption there is no soul, but the third question asks to assume a soul exists, so there's no way to answer it and stay consistent with my previous two answers
I highly recommend MIT open courseware 6.824. Incredibly valuable for learning distributed systems, and one of the lab assignments is implementing raft in Go.

There are a ton of fascinating and potentially frustrating edge cases and gotchas to implementing raft correctly. There's no better way to understand it than actually implementing it, and I probably never would have done it myself without these course materials.
When I tried to give a quick explanation of what an aperiodic was to a friend recently, calling it a geometric version of irrational numbers was the easiest way to do it. Glad to hear my explanation had some substance to it, and wasn't just one of those "you can think of it like this, but that's not what it really is" explanations.
At some point in the long to infinite history of the universe there will eventually be born a creature with a configuration of neurons sort of similar to the configuration you had before you died. So it's sort of reasonable to say that's you. Plus time passes quickly when you're dead, so to you it will feel like no time at all.
The thing that finally got me into journaling was becoming obsessed with fountain pens and stationary. So I journal as an excuse to use my fun pens and ink and paper, and as a nice side effect I actually get some useful journaling done!
How did you feel it compared with some of his other works? Personally I enjoyed it, but to me it wasn't quite on the same level with some of his other books like the buried giant or remains of the day.
"When We Cease to Understand the World" was fascinating historical fiction, which felt more like fiction because the stories were so out there and well-written. Many times I looked up the wikipedia entry on some character or event, only to discover that some of the more bizarre and out-there parts of the story that I had assumed were fiction were actually fact.
