Interesting take at the end, I wouldn't necessarily call it a Win about AppleCare coverage, it only highlights all sorts of issues which are becoming increasingly common on Macs. Logic board and full unit replacements should not be commonplace.
While stumbling upon different articles, I came across this video on YouTube of a guy in Shenzhen, China, that can replace the internal 16GB storage with a 128GB capacity NAND, so it's highly possible that a modified version of this is what's been done to the iPhone..

I don't even understand why this was necessary, with both my and my husband's employer in Nevada, I am able to get a discount on the cell bill plus I get to claim my cell phone bill for taxes. To us, at least, seems fair already..
My husband was watching a CNN news segment about the missing plane earlier today on the TV. As I overheard the program while I was on the laptop I couldn't help but notice the absurd amount of times the news anchor kept saying "officials speculate, we believe, analysis probably indicates that...,"
There's too much focus on speculation to keep this relevant in a 24/7 news cycle.
Not Dell, but the retail store where you got it. Most (Wal-Mart, OfficeMax/Depot, Best Buy) have their "Service plans" which is pretty much paying to get rid of misc software. Retailers gotta love that extra profit while the employees get a nice SPIF.

I think that in the post-Jobs future, we'll see more and more "revelations" about bugs/issues within Apple/iOS/OS X with people aggressively posting as much info as possible to "stick it to Apple"

This is a very trivial thing to focus on in the context of Nadella's letter. What exactly is your point? It's also a poor statement to chose for psycho-analysing and judging Nadella's character.
