That would make a bit of sense then, I don't have lyft but uber lists over 6 distinct notification types, where disabling one would lead me to believe the other notifications would keep pinging still.
Thanks for that link! I was aware of that feature hence why I was curious which cases where apps get additional permissions rather than lose as expected.
Can you share some apps where this happens for you. I have rather the complete opposite experience where unused apps with permissions eventually lose said permissions.
Yes, my experience with Windows 11 is that everything is constantly, in my case a Dell machine with extra OEM bloat to deal with. It can be harder for older people to deal with that, I'm already 30 and finding all that harder to navigate already.
Maybe sticking with an older version of that software that doesn't need windows 11 might be the best option if possible.
You mention they still need windows for an accounting software, did you decide to go with another PC brand then and might I wonder if these issues would be different with another brand?
This one is different, you logged into Chrome with your Google account and stored the data of your credit card to the same google account.
If you type your cc info into vscode with your msft account logged in and a sync option enabled then you also shouldn't be surprised if you found it into your msft account.
I really don't get the surprise. Data saved in chrome is saved into your Google account, whether they label this data under pay doesn't seem to be of a surprise to me at all.
Concerning sms in many of the countries worldwide sms is not free/unlimited as the case in the us you only get a specific amount in your plan with extremely late/unreliable delivery so it's basically unusable for chat where I'm from and only works in the case of ads and credit card transaction notifications.
whatsapp also had the advantage of being simple to use requiring only your phone number and it worked on pretty much any phone you had from symbian feature phones to the latest iphone helping it to gain widespread traction among people.
