I don't know why but I feel some kind of kinship to _why. And would it be just "us hackers" as a group that have any hope of "getting it"? Are we all alike in this sense? Wouldn't we all find ourselves at home reading Knut Hamsun or Jaroslav Hasek? Aren't we all freaks when we follow ourselves down the rabbit hole? I find comfort in knowing that I'm not alone and that other people are, still, similarly lost.

Religion is man-made and you can see it in many ways. There are two kind of things in this world: the one you know and the one you don't. Religion tries to give an answer to the one you don't but it's pure speculation. It's funny how now we look down to polytheist religions as something "barbaric" when in fact there's no difference between these beliefs and the currently popular ones.
With regards to Christianity then there's just to much distance between the core beliefs and the huge set of things built on top of them by the Catholic Church, which incidentally, doesn't even practice what they preach.
Bertrand Russell very well put that to be a Christian you have to at least believe that Jesus Christ was the best of men when history gives us plenty of examples of people that were without doubt proven to exist and that were just as good, if not better than Jesus, such as Socrates or Gandhi.

I wonder if the cancer rate has increased. Burning trash releases nano-particles in the air that according to some studies increase cancer rate on a 70km radius.
Does Silverlight have something like Firebug? I remember that was my main gripe when i was working withe the then new Silverlight 2. Regarding the "Timing" i say that nowadays you browsers implementors should have pretty strong communication between one another so the conflicting implementations shouldn't be an issue if you really WANT to be working together.
I dear my sloppy text-based technology that is HTML/CSS/Javascript, i don't think any technology or any widget can replace good software engineering and well thought out workflows. Extra widgets are not going to make me any more productive than i am today.
I'd buy into Silverlight only if i was developing a media platform.

I think they still don't get it. Apple decides what's good for a user and whenever they have a conflict the look 'n' feel wins and the user loose. And that's not because they sell phones, they sell dreams!
