PoE devices needs an isolation transformer in order to be compliant, and it takes quite some real estate. However, so does 110V/220V, but i guess we're so used to "hiding" it in a wall-wart.
Hm, I've some problems with nix and desktop apps that needs opengl or similar machine-specific libraries. There are some hacks, and I also think nix comes very close to a good solution, but it's not 100% yet.
For radon, we installed a suction fan inside our house that sucks air from under the house. That lowers the pressure under the house, and radon doesn't seep in. It made the measurements go from ~120bq to 20bq.
We tried setting up automatic DNS records on dhcpv6 and slaac on our company lan, and we just weren't able (opnsense). We have ipv6 working, but it still doesn't "feel finished".
It's because the infrastructure for FM is quite expensive to run. Because of all the fjords and valleys, you need many weak transmitters to avoid reflections. Also, because it's FM, they can't overlap in frequency.
With DAB, two time-delayed signals (either reflections or multiple towers transmitting the same data-fountain) will enhance the signal. This means that you can have fewer towers.

I think the current case where an athlete (Femke Van den Driessche) is caught with "bike doping", she was caught by "scanning" her bicycle with a smartphone, using the compass to detect the permamagnets in the motor.
I think AVR32 is dead (also UC3, AP7 died years ago). I've not seen any development the last years. I guess they don't want to compete with their own ARM's.
