You shouldn’t need an extension just to add a keyboard shortcut for a menu item. Doesn’t your OS let you map that? On macOS you can in Keyboard Settings
> It’s no different than other companies though, I sent a remote code execution to Cisco and they just replied that they already knew about it but the product was approaching end of life so they wouldn’t fix it.
Huh? That sounds very different from Apple. In that instance, the communication is professional, mature, and respectful of your time and effort.
My concern is not that that it could become bloatware. My concern is that it suffers from basic usability issues but you're prioritizing things that I won't ever use.
Thanks for this app; I've been wanting exactly this for years: I need to multi-task and I often forget what I was doing, so I need a TODO attached to specific windows.
Before you start adding big features such as Applescript, I recommend that you address basic problems and missing features (that you might have unearthed with an extended beta program). Please go check out the reviews at the App Store.
Well, life is absurd. So to be honest there's not much reason to live.
However, during the time that I'm still here, whenever I feel like crap, I blame myself. If my thoughts are depressing me, then it's my job to change the thought patterns. Committing suicide seems like a cop-out to me. If it's to escape pain, I have to ask: where does the pain come from? Who made up the rules that I should be happy about this and that and I should be unhappy about this and that? Is it society? Is it my family? Nature? Well, if it were up to me, I'd rewrite the rules so that I win. And ultimately, I have to remember that it is in fact up to me to feel good or not.
Easier said than done, but this is the outlook that makes me reject feeling like crap. Remember, your thoughts don't define you. Just because you're the one thinking certain thoughts doesn't mean you should accept them all: pick and choose which ones you allow and which ones you should consider alien. Negative thoughts can be ignored, they can be changed. Meditation. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Travel to foreign lands.
Is this part of a ridiculous trend where major software developers pick whatever name they want for their language, tool, library, what-have-you without caring if there are other projects with that name, if the name is confusing, if the name is too generic (and thus hard to do a web search for), etc.?
This might be some sort of bias on my part but I seem to see this more and more often. Programmers are known to be bad at naming but these days it seems they don't even try. How about just following a simple rule: pick a word that doesn't exist in the dictionary or on the web at all. Just make up a combination of letters. Please.
Google's culture of automated customer service continues a long tradition of poor people skills, and disdain for feelings and livelihoods, as well as their own reputation. I was contemplating switching from AWS to the Google Cloud, but it's posts like this that remind me that, oh yeah, I myself have been unjustly banned twice from one of their services.
Google cannot be trusted to handle relationships, whether with developers or companies. It's clear that they don't care and that's fine. They have their niche for providing services to those who don't mind the lack of the human touch. Just not for me.
