Thanks very much. Really appreciate the kind words. So that isn't intended - sounds like a small bug. On click, the info should disappear again, we'll look into it and fix.
Thanks for the tip re tldr.io, I hadn't seen this site, will check it out.
We launched our site around a week ago (http://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=5206662) and got some excellent feedback. We've done our best to work through that and take on board all the points you have made to us.
We wondered first, if we are heading in the right direction? And second, if you had any more feedback, tips, advice for us.
You kindly gave us some great feedback on how we could improve the site.
We've gone away and done this and would love to hear your thoughts and also make you aware that you can now register for daily and weekly emails (which a lot of you requested).
The million dollar question! It's a good point - so we thought about asking people if they wanted daily reminders via email? If we offered that type of option would that be of interest? We also wondered if we could make it easy for you to change your homepage to our site. Any other ways/ideas you can think of? Thanks
So my friend and I have added 365 bits of inspiration - one for each day. We then have a separate part of the site where a user can press 'submit' (bottom right corner) and submit their own inspiration. This can then be viewed by clicking 'shared inspiration' - again bottom right. So the site has two parts to it - a social type of part and then a daily dose part.
Cool, thanks! Yes so we were thinking of having that feature - where you could get it mailed each day/each week depending on your preference. We will look to build that in. thanks!
We got a lot of great feedback from you guys that we've tried to act on.
- A proper About Page
- Make the giftmark bookmarklet more obvious
- Improve the sign up process
- More categories and products
- Easier way to save a list
- Image optimization
- General look and feel.
So now we are back for more - we wondered if you had any more feedback for us. If not, no worries. Thanks again and have a great Christmas..
