I have been off google (mostly) by:
1. Email: Zohomail
2. maps: apple maps (sometimes vet it with google maps to verify shortest path, etc)
3. drive: iCloud

100% agree. The fact he still exists is surprising. I have never came across a single article from this guy which is useful... even so, when he belabors on an existing tech, I have always found articles from other bloggers which are way more precise and to-the-point. He is just a salesman under a tech garb.
Interestingly, contrary to most comments, i recently had to switch to Google after using DDG for about two years. It was just getting slower and slower - across all devices. Yes, programming and technical questions are answered better than Google, but rest of the queries were returning lesser optimal results - most likely it has to do with privacy and data collection.
We have seen many a bubbles in the past. The AI bubble will also burst eventually. I have a first hand experience of it in the ML/NLP world, and I can safely say it is about 30% works plus 70% hype.
Large amount of data has helped, so AI systems are better than before (with lots of training data), but that's pretty much it. It is not going to replace programming jobs, leave aside solving world problems.
Thanks for the AMA Peter. My question is about premium processing of H1 visa. With premium processing halted, change of employer would have to go to regular H1 processing - which is a matter of months.
What is your advise on employment transfer - one should wait till premium processing is resumed, or start working as soon as transfer receipt is obtained, or any other option/advice?
