Same with tradeshows: I have many times been on tradeshows on buildup days. It is a huge mess, full of crates and packaging. Next day, everything is glorious and neat. Just for 3-4 days of 'show'
Also similar: Join a local Toastmasters group. This is a global organization where you learn and practice to speak in front of a group, both prepared speeches and spontaneous. It may find weird to join it, but I would advice to visit one once in your neighborhood: They are all super friendly and I have seen dozens of people come in and move from shy and awkward to great storytellers in just a year or so.
I live in The Netherlands (actually in the same city as the photo's were taken): There is a very large difference in traffic density and complexity between the larger cities such as Amsterdam, Rotterdam, The Hague, Utrecht and the rest of the country (including middle sized cities).
When I visit one of those larger cities, I am also constantly looking for bikes everywhere not to be crashing into me.
Also fun debugging VoIP traffic to the local network, and seeing dns-queries from collegues PCs on the network, then asking them: Are you visiting xyz-webpage, and seeing their reaction!?
Such a great tool and 100% free. Use it often to debug network issues and see where devices connect to. Like someone else said: a multimeter for networks.
Also used it to learn about WiFi connection setup with acces point. Can see all the beacon packets and WiFi packets
Author here. Thanks for all the great and different insights and experiences. Especially also about 'feeling being listened to'.
To be fair, I was a bit short in my description: I do have a great relationship with my manager and he is one of the best managers I ever had. Also, I am not a developer, but a product manager, so already used to steering the 'ship'. We are in a relatively small team of 6 and we are all sitting together (including manager).
Maybe not what you are looking for, but I do it the manual way. Low-end, but reliable once in a while: USB3.2 external SSD

My kids worried about this as well when they got a smartphone. Turns out there is not much of an issue, some of their friends are on the phone a lot of the time, some of them not. Their friends get used to it and both kids don't have issues getting friends.
At CTOUCH we develop large-format, Android-based touchscreens for education and business up to 86". We have been operating for seven years, are about 80 people and have been profitable for a long time.
We are looking for a senior (backend) developer to head our growing development team of frontend, backend and Android developers.
I like what Steven Covey writes: "Love is a verb".
I find that both my wife and myself, and myself and my kids get closer by doing things together that we all enjoy. This ranges from trying out a new restaurant in town, to going to a museum or themepark we all enjoy, to going on holidays.
What I am trying to say is that experiencing things together may help you bond more and experience pleasant feelings together.
In my family and friends group, friendships and partners can often orthogonal: You do different things with different people and they add to life experience, not substract.
I can imagine that if you state to your partner that they are number two and always will stay, it might already put a strain on the relationship: In a sense a self-fulfilling prophecy.
For these simple designs (and more complicated ones), my experience shows me that the problem has been solved with Eagle and a decent design rule file. I have autorouted tens of 2-layer designs with between 5 and 200 components with Eagle's autorouter and the seeedstudio .drc file as constraints. It's good and quick, give it a try (would take a few sec <50 parts, couple of minutes > 100parts)!
BTW nobody professional uses curved traces (except very rare cases), have a look at any electronics PCB
