You are genralizing here, not everyone who is from India works for the body shops you’ve mentioned. The body shops like TCS, Wipro etc exist because the rules allow it, they use temporary visas like B1 and L they try to get H1 but rarely do - outsourcing is different from immigration

I have very restricted choices, it’s different from the choices you have and that is why it is easy for corporations to keep the wages down , the “lower wages” I get here is still way higher than what I’d make if I chose any of the choices I have.

I’ve been on h1b for over 7 years now , with no chance of getting a green card because I was born in India , all my immigrant friends who started working at the same time have already gotten their green cards - they all have the option to quit their jobs if they feel like they are being underpaid or exploited. But not me , I’m looking at 70 years before I get my freedom , until then I have to tolerate the indentured servitude. As long as the law allows it Corporations will take advantage of it . The system is broken . And for those of you who feel like I should “go back to where you came from “ sorry , I worked hard to get here , I played by the rule , I pay my taxes . I came here because this is the land of the free, just like your ancestors
