Capitalism doesn't have desires outside of those of the people who participate in it that hold the most power. The desire of those people is more power. Not resource allocation as an ends, but as a means to more profit.
It has been shown time and time again that the majority of the powerful players in a Capitalist economy inherited their wealth or opportunities.
Capitalism can only function in an economy if a government allows it by setting up the necessary structures and allowing private property ownership.
Society can certainly be Capitalist by extension of the economy being Capitalist due to policies and strucutes set up by goverments.

I don't know if they're suggesting that corporations became greedy but rather that they unilaterally increased prices during the pandemic which is the main cause of inflation.
I mean the line needs to be drawn somewhere, right? It's not that a band isn't "metal enough", it's just that they have a bunch of rules interpreted by mods and if it doesn't fit those rules they make the editorial decision to exclude it. It's impossible to have some kind of perfect description anyway.
Rush were added probably in the first year or two of the site's existence, so they probably kept them on their for nostalgia.
I wouldn't take that list too seriously. Metal-archives genres tend to not delve into "styles" as much. But there are certainly many distinct sub-genres and one can't exactly argue that Black Sabbath, Dimmu Borgir and Cannibal Corpse sound similar.
I agree that the community itself takes the genre thing way too far and it often ends up being pretty funny.
If there is anything like the Metal Archives for electronic music or rock music (actually any genre) out there, I'd like to know about it. It's simply the greatest music encyclopedia I've come across, albeit entirely focused on metal.
As much as I appreciate Discogs and RateYourMusic, they tackle different things and don't really function as encyclopedias, the former functioning more as a catalogue and the latter as a way to track and list your favourite albums.

I'm sorry but your answer to Q1 is extremely naive. There is no way that activity from renters will even remotely approach the power of those who own property in politics. The latter group can lobby and make campaign donations, the former can't exactly...
The best thing you'll get is a campaign promise to do something about it, but not much action. The only way something will actually be done about it is if the effects of it become economically catastrophic or people start rioting en masse.

I don't know, I felt really stupid when I entered the wrong year but since then I've grown increasingly frustrated by how poorly this feature has been implemented.
I don't think this holds true as generally as might seem obvious. Personally I become much more productive and much more creative when I have serious pressure on me. I think art history also speaks to this if you think about all the artists who did their best work (or all their work) under very difficult conditions such as poverty, abuse or simply having been pressed for time.
