When I worked in HPC in Tromsoe, arctic Norway, one of local supercomputers was liquid cooled and the heat used warmed up some buildings on the university campus.

Well neovim folks forked vim bacause they were not allowed to clean up the code and fix vimscript among other things IIRC.

It is very unfortunate that they could not find an agreement.
