Mysterious Universe (Plus+) for a healthy dose of paranormal entertainment. The hosts are (most of the time) aware of the fact that alot of the things they cover are pretty dumb, and they do laugh of it. It's one of the more professional podcasts I've ever listened to, sound quality is excellent, the music is good, and the hosts are really funny. Check it out!
Also, to feed my hunger for gadgetery, "The 404" and "Buzz out loud" from cNet.
And if you're into history Dan Carlin has two podcasts, "Common sense", about US politics, and "Hardcore History" on history. Good shows by a smart host.
I can't, my university won't let me take harder courses. I've taken the hardest courses I can. And I've talked with the councilors, and they tell me to just wait till next semester - "that's when the real fun starts" - but I don't think so.
I haven't done any real research into the whole visa-business, but I really should do that soon;) Is it not true that it's easier to get a visa if you already have a company that has agreed to let you work with them?
Actually, I find HN to be the perfect mix of world news, economics, math papers and programming stuff, so no. And I don't fall into any of the "types" listed, I'm a CS-student (at least in one month I am), and don't have any serious plans of starting a company;)
Just ordered mine, don't have any specific plans for it just yet, just tought it might come in handy during summer-boredom. And at that price, incl shipping (to Norway!), it really was a no-brainer;)
But I do have a question that I couldn't find an answer for on their page, can it run without being connected to a computer? Can i just mount it with a 5V battery and send it on my verry own Mars-mission?o0
Given that I just ordered it I havent googled it that much, but do anyone have any blogs/communities they can recommend for reading/getting help/getting ideas/brainstorming?
For five (I think) years I've used nothing but ZoneAlarm, no antivirus, no spyware-removal-tools. And - as far as I know - I've never had a single virus/trojan. Being a geek surfing the net is something i do every day, and a lot of it, but my belief is that as long as you're carefull, you're OK.
