Hi Peter, thanks for your time.
I have applied for a GC through marriage. I am currently on a H1B via my employer. I have already received my EAD but waiting on the GC interview which might take a while given the current state of affairs.
1) Can I change employers using an EAD?
2) My EAD expires in a year. Are EAD renewals generally painless?
I had this happen to my Dell XPS 15 about 2 years back. It was a year old at the time so still under warranty. Dell said it was a hardware failure and I had to return it. IT issued me a new Precision 5520 that has worked really well since.
I have a lot of respect for the table saw when I do my hobby woodworking. Stupid me didn't think a jointer was that dangerous; I tried to joint a small (2"x3"x2") piece of mesquite using just my hands. The piece flew off and my finger dropped into the spinning blades. Luckily, while it did slice off the tip of the finger, it hopefully won't be permanent damage. It did make me realize though how dangerous things really are.
It is significant because shifting the money entails the eventual shifting of the revenue associated with the money. A large portion of revenue for capital is through traditional means such as interest rate arbitrage (difference between lending and borrowing rates) and services. It's only a matter of time before the services start moving to the continent.
The entire Apple universe is bizarre. I've not used an Apple product except for the first gen iPhone but I did love it when I did.
Since then, Apple has been behind the curve on every thing. I want to go back to using Apple since I really like their stance on privacy and security but feature wise they're usually 2-3 years behind a Samsung or a Microsoft. And now, this...
In any case, I switched to GPMAA when it was launched and had the $7.99 a month rate locked in.
Then, GPMAA started adding tracks to my playlist, etc. at random. No, Google, I don't want your suggestions to be auto-added to my collection. I simply want to listen to what I want to listen.
I want to get away from Spotify but there are no better options. Amazon Music seemed promising for a bit but their catalog isn't as comprehensive and their app is just wonky. E.g.: the app won't sync / display song time when streaming over Bluetooth to my car audio. Deal breaker for me.
Well, I want to donate but I don't want to use PayPal. And US banks charge an arm and a leg for wire transfers. Is there a way I can simply mail them a check?
I attended a popup theater in Austin where one of the guest speakers (Gregory Watson) was the gentleman who was influential in getting the 27th amendment passed.
He, per his teacher, was a mediocre student at UT Austin and only received a C on the class he was attending. He was, however, dogged enough to persuade the states to ratify the amendment.
His former teacher had learned of his role in getting the amendment passed and during the show, the UT President presented Gregory with an upgraded grade (A).
Agreed. Spotify Discovery is hardly as good as many people tout it to be. Usually Indie music junk that isn't really my genre.
Also agree that Pandora is far superior when it comes to curating tracks. A trick I've learned from a friend is to never like a song Pandora; only dislike what you don't want to hear.
Spotify Radio is terrible as well. There's no good way to reseed a radio station. For example, when I first started using Spotify radio, I was listening to The National a lot. For whatever reason, 3-4 years since, whenever I start my 'Liked From Radio' station, it plays The National every fifth song or so. Ugghhh!!!
Finally, Spotify on Android has been kinda buggy for me. Once you have a lot of offline music on your device, the app takes forever to load on startup. It complains if there is no active internet connection, etc. When I wrote to Support, they suggested that I clear the cache and re-install the app (which caused me to lose all my prior downloaded music).
What would I need to do to permit someone read-only, clear-text, non-public access to an encrypted repo? Can a combination of existing GIT / GitHub privileges and the Keybase solution help? If yes, and if you can add 2FA and we might be interested in becoming a customer.
