Me too. The options api enforced grouping and you could lint the ordering of the lifecycle methods, methods, computed, data etc. Thjs made it very easy to know where to find something inside a component

Is this an open source Segment Analytics competitor? I liked the idea of segment, but the pricing jumped way up after the free tier and I had to remove it

Competition still has potential for infinite growth. Even if ai is better than humans at everything, humans will be finite and will likely be better at making people with money feel important. Potentially the future economy is everyone just competing to make the wealthy feel important whether fighting their wars, worshiping at their cults, or working at their “startups”
I just tried to login to svb.connect.com and it is giving me a popup to scan an QR code from the app. The app now gives me a popup requiring two factor auth (which it hadn’t ever before) with a phone number that I don’t have access to. I luckily don’t have much money in this account. As a bootstrapped founder, what would I need to do to get my money if SVB goes under?
Working with someone else’s code is always slower. As a mostly solo developer, I’m curious if a tool like this could speed me up vs writing code myself and using code I’ve written in the past. I think even in with a small team, specific devs can have complete ownership over different chunks of code.
Having AI write a chunk of your codebase may be kinda like having someone else write it, but then leave the project. Plenty of companies work like this, but they move much slower. Anyways I’m sure tools like this will have a market, but I’m not sure they make sense to be adopted by the fastest moving companies
It’s seems inevitable that the majority of posts and comments will eventually be AI created intended to nudge our thoughts in a direction. I at least, will probably stop reading comments online at that point
Echo VR was the best thing I’ve experienced in vr. I did a community run web event where competitive players coached us for a week before we played a tournament. It was a blast! The combination of teamwork, spatial voice communication, and the hangout room really created community more than anything else virtual.
Echo (which was all I ended up using my quest 2 for) got me through a cold and dark pandemic winter. Then in the spring, I got back into ultimate frisbee which kinda scratched the same sports / community itch and is much better exercise!
Hey! I started a platform called Otechie to help open source projects build consulting businesses. I believe this is the perfect way for open source projects to monetize, because they are the worlds experts in something lots of businesses want help with.
We’ve been working with the Nuxt.js team and iterating on the product for over a year. It has become a full featured live chat, and invoicing system, with a contact widget for onboarding clients.
Freelancer marketplaces tend to be targeted at non-technical people hiring freelancers. Instead, I want to be able to see who has used specific tools I'll need and how they've used them.
Otechie indexes freelancers on Github based off of the contents of their public repos manifest files (currently only package.json). Besides other languages, I plan to add the ability to search for developers who have used services such as Circleci, Heroku, or Docker.
I was extremely lucky to get to work one-on-one with someone much more experienced than me when I was starting out. I interned at a startup and was making the iPhone app with one of the original engineers.
I had already gotten pretty good at the slamming my head against things until they work part. So I could eventually make something that functioned, but my code quality was terrible.
Where having a mentor really helped was becoming more disciplined, seeing good code, and learning new tools and services.
