Me too - I've been making that variation since I was a kid and now my kids love playing with them too.
I'm going to try this tail version now to see how they compare.
One of the hidden pleasures I've discovered about learning new things is that it instils a much finer appreciation of the thing that you are learning. For me that alone is usually more than worth the effort of learning.
Also I've learned not to push too hard and to focus on the journey rather than the goal, but that's also something I've also had to work extremely hard at.
It's true. Unless you carry a camera around constantly you're going to miss almost all those unpredictable moments. I completely agree about not needing to document everything - plus documenting things misses the spontaneity of it all - and unless you're some kind of world class photographer/videographer you're going to lose most of the emotion and humanity of those moments.
So why do I still obsessively document events?
Simply an aide-mémoire - because my mémoire is awful.
Would tourism explode? What would that mean for the environment?
What about international business?
Would it be the end of remote workers? Or would it encourage even more distributed workplace?
