i think this could function in a small project scenario and i like the idea. Don't think that would be super maintainable in larger enterprise applications. You'd essentially be on the hook for maintaining more code as well.
i have similar dependency complaints about flutter. I revisited a flutter project that was <1 yr stale and it took me days to resolve all dependencies, i ended up giving up and removing many dependencies and refactoring around it.
joe rogan says awful things, and contributed to a lot of misinformation about a wide range of topics including neo nazi protests/transgender people/vaccines/pandemic... the list goes on and on. In general he gives a platform to a lot of people that say offensive/harmful/incorrect things and he does not challenge their actions or words but encourages it.
under 30 and yes ive heard of FTP. I used them at school to submit assignments for some classes and I use FTPs (albeit sparingly) at my current place of work.
There are definitely elements of racism rooted in Classical music. Classical music is not something that was historically accessible to the masses. Minorities have not always been allowed to participate in it the same way White people were allowed to. with a quick internet search you can find out more from more legitimate sources.
computer are already a form of artistic expression. this is a strange article where I feel the author is too deep into his own head and too into his own work. I admire the passion he has, wish it wasn't about some game.

that's very debatable. The military is definitely not the best influence on children either. Doesn't take too much critical thinking to see how normalizing war and deadly machines in childrens toys could be potentially not healthy for everyone.
I've been working with serverless projects for about 2 years now and I'd agree a lot of these gripes are valid. The slow feedback loop is the most painful. Building new features in serverless apps is going to almost always require multiple pushes in order to get what you want. It's very challenging to get it "right" the first time.
As a Chicago resident who has been involved in multiple protests, Chicago police are very lax with their body cams. During protests this past summer many officers had no badge, nameplate, or body cam present. This results in absolutely no accountability of this individual and their actions. The police have much to benefit with civil unrest and crime in the city. Chicago police receive 40% of the city's budget. We invest so heavily in policing yet we are known for our murder rate. Police do not prevent the violence in Chicago they only respond to it. This is because the police profit off of the crime in Chicago. The city continues to refuse to divest from policing and invest in the communities which are struggling the most.
I think there's so many signs they can't be trusted but I personally often find people don't believe it to be systemic or institutional and therefore it doesn't impact their overall opinion. Homan Square is a well known police black site but it still exists today despite so many protests

Unfortunately filing complaints in Chicago doesn't result in discipline towards on officer. If a complaint is sustained by COPA (the agency responsible for accepting and investigating complaints) then COPA gets to make a "recommendation" to the Chicago Police Department with how to discipline the officer involved. It is then up to CPD whether they want to actually follow that recommendation or not. A separate but related issues is that officers also don't always oblige to requests for their identification in the event of an altercation.
I suspect it's more of an issue of code review. Hypothetically both fields are in the same object and the coder used the wrong field. A unit test could totally be in place doing it's job but you just have bad business logic, that no one caught.... who knows though :)
