Then your app either has no value, is too difficult to explain the value, or your communication skills are poor. Whatever the case may be, this might not be the job for you.
What is the point? iOS will run a local model for requests that involve personal context and pass requests off to a private cloud instance for requests that are too complex for local inference. For non-personal requests OpenAI or some other service is invoked. Apple isn’t paying OpenAI.

1 - Person A has the flu
2 - Person B does not have the flu
3 - Person A treats the flu with rest, fluids and antiviral medications
If person B also rested, drank fluids and took antiviral medications, they would not become an unusually healthy person. Person B would not become the new normal.
What you're proposing is that it's OK to be sick. We treat every other form of illness with aggressive treatments. Depression is often ignored, poorly treated or treatment is inaccessible to many people due to cost.
What you're proposing is a dialog between a conscious and subconscious self, while in a dream state, where one or the other (or both) forms of being are fully aware of what questions to ask, and what the answers to those questions are. This doesn't sound simple. It sounds extremely complex.
And it doesn't explain everything, like, for example, why some people don't dream or can't remember their dreams. Or why other animals dream, unless all animals have a conscious and subconscious self and are attempting to resolve internal conflict.
Your question is less about restarting your career, and more about mental health. I would suggest:
1 - See a therapist. What you wrote is what you believe about yourself, and that belief may be false.
2 - Understand your previous and current behavior. It will follow you, regardless of career.
3 - Be kind to yourself. Others will criticize your career path without understanding your background or history. HN might not be the best outlet to ask for support in this area.

Cars didn't become more popular (measured by usage per person) than trains because of the vast infrastructure that was built. Cars became more popular because they were more appealing and useful than trains (for the reason you mentioned - sense of freedom).
Cars CREATED the industries you mentioned (highways, gas stations, dealerships, car insurance, etc) because consumers wanted Cars. The demand for Cars increased, new industries were created from the demand, and the combination of all of the above moved the auto industry forward, displacing trains.
This isn't a sacrifice, it's the better product winning.
VR will succeed when VR is 'better' than the current non-VR options. People will use VR more, demand will increase, and current or new businesses will start building for VR. Lowering (or raising) the price of a VR headset, releasing new versions of low adoption headsets, or asserting that VR is the future, isn't going to increase demand. Usefulness increases demand.
How does this acquisition conflict with a free market? Figma isn't being forced to sell i.e. this isn't a hostile takeover. Figma is free to continue to compete. There's not a 100% clear antitrust case although the $20B buyout could be viewed as anticompetitive behavior (perhaps contradicting my previous statement).

Autechre are probably the best known artist for using all of the above mentioned software in some form.
As much as gamers critique Meta's handling of Oculus, Oculus would be dead/gone by now if not for the acquisition. Meta has been dumping fuel/cash on Oculus to keep VR alive and the VR experience has mostly improved over the years.
Red flag test. Vague, no guidance around how much time to spend, no guidance around where to focus from a technical perspective (i.e. build anything/everything), bias towards someone who already has some related code completed. Given the lack of clarity, accurately assessing one candidate vs another would be difficult. It also comes off as lazy.
