I unfollowed all my friends(you can also use an extension that removes your feed), now I have the pros of Facebook which is being connected to people I care about while not having to fight a feed-looking/time-wasting addiction.
I only use facebook for messenger and events now and it works quite well.
Don't get too caught up with success stories about "epic programmers", there's more than one path to a what you want. Stay focused and you'll get closer everyday.
Might be true, but telling a depressed person to smile more or "it's just chemicals" won't help them. Helping a depressed is a very different fight and getting them to understand there is a life much happier to live has nothing to do with chemicals.
