I'm inclined to disagree with repetition. Spaced repetition may be effective but taking something and describing it in your own words(elaboration) will help with retention AND comprehension. If you can explain something to someone else well enough for then to understand it, then you probably understand it decently enough to be well on your way to memorization.
Another thing Digg deserves tons of credit for is emphasizing visual journalism along with text. There is no excuse not to include at least an eye-grabbing photo with most stories.
A small player could manipulate volume by buying their own bitcoins and selling their own bitcoins. There's no reason why you couldn't shuffle your own bitcoins around forever...
You're on to something when discussing Rob's ability as a writer. Smart money says communication is his real strength. By speaking in startup/engineer vernacular to starry eyed bored dreamers(you: hn, vice, digg, reddit consumers) he's generated millions in pre-sales and investment without delivering anything.
Trust. After you sell me your cat for an imaginarily large amount of currency, why continue to spend your gains or buy my imaginarily intensely valuable cat?
Silverlight is such a waste of resources and a pox of vulnerabilities. Flash is bad, Silverlight is worse and the sooner services everyone uses stop using them the better.
