It's pretty cool to see how commenters engage with Glenn/bot-Glenn to identify his responses as LLM-generated. At one point, someone tries the DAN jailbreak and gets the response:

Procedures and flows is a big one. It really helps for understanding the "flow" of processes and making sure you don't spend too much precious time in the cockpit repeating the same things just to try to get in the habit of e.g., the flow of engine start, going through your checklists, doing crosswind corrections, etc.
For the feel and the mechanics of flying VFR, there's nothing you can do except build that intuition, feel, and muscle memory in the aircraft itself. But I disagree it's useless for all aspects of VFR training.
How is that ironic? Saying "risk is our business" doesn't imply you'll be successful. It implies the risk is worth it, and you acknowledge the possibility of negative and dangerous outcomes.
I feel kinda the same way about Waymo like I did about Apple as a relatively early adopter. The experience is genuinely magical, and there’s a massive gulf between Cruise and Waymo’s capabilities.

I worked there for a few years, and, though I never thought of it this way, I keep in touch with my friends there in much the same way. We send each other and ask for photos, and talk in kind of the same way (though the marketing copy is of course a bit more cheesy and contrived)

I get the concept that they want to work quietly to build something as part of a grand vision… it certainly is not doomed to failure, but as the gap between vision <> tangible implementation widens, so does the probability of widespread success.
It's easier to hide bad writing with more difficult words. When writing in a way that's easily understandable, bad writing or arguments that don't make sense become much more evident.
I see it as a progression. It's easy to lie to yourself and think you're a good writer by clouding your prose with difficult-to-understand sentences.
I think once you've mastered writing simply, you can be confident that you're able to move on to more difficult prose without using it as a crutch to obscure bad writing.
The article’s claim that “inflation is far worse than the government admits” may well be true, or it may not be, but it doesn’t provide any evidence either way. The closest it gets is here:

I just started watching the historical footage from CNN; it's interesting to hear the commentary in between when the first and second planes hit the tower.
"Was the plane having any difficulty flying?" "Yes, it seemed to be rocking back and forth"
"Was this a navigational error?"
An announcement in the South Tower immediately after the crash instructed people to stay in their offices.
Even after the second tower was hit, the immediate reaction was that it was a second explosion in the North Tower caused by the fuselage of the plane.
4 minutes after the second plane hit, when it was clear that two planes were involved: "was it possible a navigational error directed two planes into the World Trade Center?"
It's incredible to think just how much our attitude and perspectives changed after realizing what exactly had happened.
Not quite an answer to your question, but in the 60s and 70s hijackings were quite common (86 hijackings in 1969) and weren’t seen in the way they are now. The common understanding was that the hijackers wanted to re-route the plane somewhere else, and that everyone would end up alive but inconvenienced.
It’s also one reason why only the passengers in United 93 fought back; the idea of a plane as a missile wasn’t widely understood or considered until the planes hit the twin towers. Fighter jets were not even under consideration to be mobilized until United 93.
On the other hand, I’ve seen the other side of this. Leadership makes an issue out of something the engineers perceive as insignificant and the “wrong problem to solve”, nobody speaks up.
The problem gets fixed, engineers feel resentful but leadership feels triumphant that they told the right story and that they rallied the troops to get a problem solved.
